"Just asking to be captured"

Films: The Watcher (2000)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: When you and the awful criminal have been trying to get each other for some time, chances are you're going to form an accidental connection of sorts. Like, an intimate one. And most of the time, it's the criminal who does that.

History: David Allen Griffin was a horrible serial killer who liked to strangle women with piano wire while killing off anyone who dared try and stop him. All but one, that is. Over time, Griffin became obsessed with Joel Campbell, an FBI detective that failed to stop him in his old L.A. stomping grounds. Now, Griffin was moved all the way to Chicago to continue a twisted game with Campbell so that their fates may be intertwined forever.

Notable Kills: Piano wire stranglings, anyone?

Final Fate: After distracting him with words of praise, Campbell impales Griffin in the neck with a pencil, blasts him with a shotgun, and leaves him for dead with some explosives that go off. The killer was a charred corpse soon afterward.

Powers/Abilities: Griffin's weapon of choice is piano wire.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-In spite of this man's affable, jokey personality, Griffin is in fact as deranged as they come. From a brutal killing method to some methodical murdering sprees to his insane demeanor during the job, it's safe to say this is the most terrifying Keanu Reeves has been. That being said, he is a little hammy in some spots, and that's no accident either...

Trivia: -Keanu absolutely did not want the role he had in this film. In fact, he didn't want to be in the film at all. The only reason he was is because a friend forged his signature for it, and he preferred a role not fit for him as opposed to some awful legal battle. It wasn't worth it.

-Oh, and his co-star, James Spader, didn't like the film either, though his only major gripe with doing it is that he had to eat Vietnamese food, which he hates.
